United States, Australian, Canadian, United Kingdom and German embassies have closed their offices and are evacuating their staff today. All U.S. residents should consider leaving Shermanistan due to the the Shermani government's inability to provide protection and consisten services.

Shermanistan has just received notice that the United States government has imposed a complete travel ban on citizens from 21 countries. Shermanistan is listed as one of the 21.
It is unknown at this time the effect of the ban on citizens from other countries that are currently in Shermanistan.
This ban has already begun causing interruptions in flights to and from the United States. Travelers should check with their airline for updates on flight cancellations.

We want you to be aware of the political tensions that exist in Shermanistan. There are some political factions that are currently involved in seditious activity toward the government. They are seeking help from other countries, in an attempt to overthrow the Shermani government.
All travelers should be cautious when talking with strangers. Do not offer them money or aid of any kind. This could result in you being prosecuted for aiding and abetting these seditious organizations.

Several suspected members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Shermanistan, as well as those providing aid to the same, have been placed in custody. Investigations continue. The same faction have threatened to take hostages in order to embarrass the Shermani government. Extreme caution should be taken to avoid victimization.

Increased crime in urban areas has been noted, especially in the area of roberries, pick pocketing, and various scams. These scams are focused on preying on the sympathies of travelers and senior adults.

Contrary to opinions from international sources, Shermanistan is still a relatively safe place. The Shermani state dept does recommend that visitors avoid areas that are known to be active protest areas. Shermani law enforcement services are provided adequate protective services for visitors and foreign NGO’s. Of course, common sense would dictate recognizing an elevated threat from protestors and known subversive organizations such as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Shermanistan.

Guests in Shermanistan should be aware of gangs of criminals who are seeking to exploit travelers. Many of these gangs are conducting simple robberies, others are involved in kidnapping for ransom.
Shermani law enforcement works dilgently to protect all visitors, however, it is impossible to protect everyone from everything, including their own actions.
Great care should be taken if you witness any activity and if you are a victim of any criminal activity, you should report it to law enforcement immediately.

All travelers should keep the needed cash with them. The Shermani Secretary of State cannot guarantee you access to your banking institution nor the ability to make financial transactions.
